Grindstad & Co is one of the largest and longest-lived law firms in Østfold, Norway. They provide qualified and effective assistance regardless of the given challenge. We have given them a digital boost by designing a new visual identity and website that suits their subject areas, and that still takes care of all the history that the company has.
The colors in the updated visual profile are quite traditional in the legal profession. We decided early in the process to draw particular inspiration from the famous “banker’s lamp” – the table lamp in brass with the iconic green glass shade that many. This lamp is very common to also associate with lawyers, thanks to the film and television industry.
In order to give the whole identity a modern twist, we chose to use an orange contrast colour. This colour plays surprisingly well with the other colours in the palette, and ensures both a modern and fresh look in an otherwise predictable and classic industry.
In combination with the modern Neue Haas Grotesque font, the GT Super font ensures just the right amount of professional weight and seriousness.
