Volvo Trucks

Campaign design for Volvo Trucks.

[Case in progress]

How do you create unity – and a community – for the transport industry and truck drivers in Norway?

Without trucks and drivers, Norway will stop completely. In collaboration with GoToEleven, I have designed a campaign for Volvo Trucks that will focus on the transport industry.

The campaign has been named “Livet på veien” (Life on the Road), as truck drivers spend countless hours of their lives on the road transporting and delivering – for both you and me.

It was important to highlight key pieces of this life on the road – it should be fast-paced, genuine and just the right amount of muddy.

Recognition to the typical Norwegian conditions on the roads, with harsh weather and beautiful nature, was also an important part of the design. Not too pretty, yet not too dirty. The smell of a wet road and asphalt should dominate.

Slanted elements with gradient, such as speed stripes, are a central part of the profile. This illustrates something that is in motion and movement – like when you are "on the road". The speed stripes are repeated in the logos and on profiling articles. They are also used as sections for pictures, various buttons and as decorative elements on the website.
